This series explores the photograph as both image and object through experiments with embroidery, abstraction, and materiality. Working with archival photographs, I use thread as a form of mark-making, limiting the color palette and allowing each stitch to respond to the composition rather than describe it. By presenting both the front and the reverse of each piece, the work extends beyond the photographic surface, revealing the construction process and the unexpected patterns created by the thread itself. These studies embrace experimentation, treating embroidery as a language of line, texture, and gesture that transforms each photograph into a tactile object.
